Dog Love, what is it?

When I observe my Bull Mastive Jack playing with other hounds it becomes clear that, like humans, he has chemical attraction with some and is repelled by others. This chemical attraction is similar to what humans experience and probably the most reffered to quality people look for when choosing a partner. Jack likes Basset hounds.
